Sanskrit Teacher’s Training Program for Seth MR Jaipuria School
On 17 April Dr. Sampadananda Mishra, Director, SAFIC, was invited to conduct the annual Sanskrit Teacher’s training program in which eighty Sanskrit teachers working in various schools where Devabhasha texts books are taught were trained. The program started at 10 am and ended at 12.30 pm on 17th April 2020. The teachers were explained about the role of a teacher, the true aim of education, understanding the value of Sanskrit, understanding the Devabhasha curriculum, and innovative ways of teaching Sanskrit at various levels (from pre-nursery to class eight).
Importance of Sanskrit in the era of Modern Science
On 19 April Dr. Sampadananda Mishra, Director, SAFIC, was invited to deliver a talk on ‘Importance of Sanskrit in the era of Modern Science’. The talk was delivered live on the YouTube Channel of Vijnana Bharati. This was the 16th talk in the series of the Lockdown Live Talk of Vijnana Bharati.
In this talk Dr. Mishra has highlighted certain significant features of Sanskrit which are directly scientific in nature and which help immensely in maintaining and sustaining good health. Sanskrit indeed is a transformative language that has direct impact on human consciousness when used consciously. Dr. Mishra stressed on the practical value of using Sanskrit in day-to-day life. Board of Studies Meeting – KJ Somaiya University, Mumbai
On 26 April Dr. Sampadananda Mishra, Director, SAFIC, was invited to be a part of the meeting of Faculty of Dharma Studies and Board of Studies in Sanskrit, K J Somaiya University Mumbai. In this meeting the Dr. Mishra was requested to evaluate the syllabus of various Sanskrit courses offered by the University. In September 2019 Dr. Mishra was appointed as one of the member of the Board of Studies Sanskrit of Somaiya University.
Indian Yoga Association, Puducherry Chapter Meeting
On 7th and 17th of May the Indian Yoga Association, Puducherry chapter meetings were held online. Dr. Sampadananda Mishra, being the Secretary of the IYA Pudcherry State Chapter, conducted the meeting in which many major decisions were taken with regard to the activities of IYA in Puducherry; promoting IYA in Puducherry, social media promotion of IYA Puducherry etc.
Health, Healing and Sanskrit
Dr. Sampadananda Mishra , Director, SAFIC was invited to deliver a lecture on Health Healing and Sasnkrit, organized by the Nava Srijan Sanskar Kendra of AURO University, Surat. Around sixty participants joined the talk that was live on Facebook also. In this talk Dr. Mishra explained how Sanskrit helps maintaining our wellbeing and overcoming health issues during this tough time and he stated that use of various features of Sanskrit has immense power to face strongly COVID 19 situation.

Spiritual Retreat, Seth MR Jaipuria School, Lucknow
On 22 May 2020, Dr. Sampadananda Mishra, Director, SAFIC was invited to conduct two sessions for the Students and the Teachers of Seth MR Jaipuria School participating in an online Spiritual Satsanga.
In the first session Dr. Mishra discussed about the the Six Questions (Based on Prashnopanishad) in which he focused on the following questions: Did you ever think how did life begin? Did your Biology teacher tell you that you have five Pranas and not one? Did you know who watches your dreams? In the beginning of the session Dr. Mishra narrated the story of Pippalada’s birth and how he became a great Rishi. The six questions which were discussed were asked to Pippalada by the six young seekers. This forms the content of the Prashnopanishad.
The topic of the second session for Dr. Mishra was ‘The Mission Statement for the Ideal Human Life’. In this session the participants were asked to write down the mission statements of their life. Dr. Mishra then expalind about the whole idea of fourfold aims of life drafted by the ancient seers and sage: dharma, artha, kama and moksha. The questions on which the discussion was based were: Do we have a mission statement? Did anyone prepare that? What is it then? How should one know it and own it?
The sessions were interactive and the questions raised by the young students participating in the satsang were very encouraging.

Life of Yoga – Life Beautiful
The Mathura branch of Sri Aurobindo Society in collaboration with Amar Nath Girls Degree College, Mathura organised a Webinar on the subject of ‘Corona Crisis and the Challenges and Prospects’in which Dr. Sampadananda Mishra, Director, SAFIC was invited to deliver a lecture on ‘Life Beautiful’ on 27 May 2020. Dr. Mishra in his lecture talked about simple life and strong life. He gave the example of the life of the Mahatmas and talked about living the virtuous life of the prayers of the Vedic sages. He stated that if we learn and practice the art and science of living a conscious life we will be able to move forward by battling with all the odd situations. He said let us make some changes in our life style with patience in this odd situation and live the yogic way of life, a life simple and beautiful and that can lead to live a divine life. The webinar was attended by above sixty participants.
Sanskrit and the Modern World
On 28 May 2020 Sri Sri University, Cuttack,organised a webinar on ‘Sanskrit and the Modern World’ in which Dr. Sampadananda Mishra, Director, SAFIC was invited to speak on the story of initiating the DIVYAVANI SANSKRIT RADIO. (http://radio.garden/listen/divyavani/lX2VE9qX)
The main purpose of this webinar was to create an awareness among others about what’s the Connection of Sanskrit, the most Ancient and also known as the Mother of all Languages, with the modern world!
While sharing the story of how Dr. Mishra started Divyavani Sanskrit Radio, he mentioned that in 2013 when there was hardly any Sanskrit content on the internet, Divyavani Sanskrit Radio was started with the mission of broadcasting varieties of Sanskrit contents in Sanskrit and making it reach globally. Dr. Mishra very enthusiastically said that this was world’s first ever 24/7 Sanskrit Radio which was started and being maintained till date single handedly by him. Today the radio is being accessed in more than 160 countries globally. And till date it’s the one and only 24/7 Sanskrit Radio with rich content in Sanskrit.
In his sharing Dr. Mishra also mentioned that if all the Sanskrit universities can have their own community radio stations and start broadcasting contents in Sanskrit, it will create a huge impact.
Technology must be utilized profusely for the dissemination of Sanskrit contents and for a greater propagation of it. At the same time each Sanskrit university should have specific Sanskrit digital literacy program for the students and teachers and others who are part of the university.
The other eminent speakers who were in the panel spoke on different topics on which they were asked to share their experience: Prof. Radhavallabh Tripathi ji wonderfully explained the ‘World Dramaturgy and Sanskrit’; Prof. Amba Kulkarni ji shared her work on computational linguistics and Sanskrit; Prof. Madan Mohan Jha ji spoke about the applications that he has created for facilitating Shastric learning; Sanjay Dwibedi spoke about his story of initiating the Dhruva Sanskrit Music Band; and Dr. Anurag Mishra ji spoke on his work on Carrier Counseling and Sanskrit.
Sanskrit has greater future. And each Sanskrit knowing person has a greater responsibility for its preservation and propagation.

A New Normal Way
The Rajnivas Puducherry celebrated the completion of the 4th year of the honorable Dr. Kiran Bedi as the Lt. Governor of Puducherry. Through webcast program on 30 May 2020 Dr. Kiran Bedi shared the achievements in the last four years and the future plans. Dr. Sampadananda Mishra, Director, SAFIC was invite to be a part of the celebration among other dignitaries. Dr. Kiran Bedi introducing Dr. Mishra acknowledged contribution of SAFIC in setting up of the exhibitions at Rajnivas, Puducherry.
